Lush is changing the face of the cosmetics industry. We make our products by hand using fresh, organically produced vegetarian and vegan ingredients and win awards for our customer service.
We are looking for a new Senior Retailer to join the German Retail team who support 44 Managers through fresh, innovative advice, encouragement and genuine care. Our Managers run shops like their own businesses, so Retailers ensure we recruit and maintain strong, empowered shop Managers to secure our future.
With a permanent base in our Berlin support office, you will be part of the senior leadership team for Lush Germany. With frequent domestic and international travel, this role is ideal for expert communicators and inspirational leaders.
As part of this role, you will be able to identify areas of opportunity for the German retail business. Using your effective communication skills, you’ll work with other departments in the business to ensure improvements are made when relevant.
You will be a believer in Lush values and ethics to ensure we embrace our values in everything we do. Working with and for our Stores to encourage creative thinking and debate, whilst striving to grow the Retail business and a positive advocate for our customers.
Lead the Retail Team in developing business plans that continually drive sales growth
Develop engaging retail activity, mapped against budget plans, resource limitations and an understanding of brand direction
Work as part of the senior team, in a collaborative manner, encouraging vigorous debate and reaching decisions that will improve the Lush brand and business performance
Inclusive leadership methods that ensure brand strategies and sales tactics are understood, implemented and shared as best practice
Ability to both plan ahead and deliver multiple projects simultaneously, under tight deadlines and to the standard that a global brand should expect
Develop strong relationships across the globe and use these to establish self as a key stakeholder and go-to person
Skills and experience:
Activist attitude - you are excited by the prospect of our business being a campaigning force for change, a business that does not follow the usual retail rules
Comprehensive financial understanding of P&L, cash flow reports and business driver analytics
A proven success story in Retail Management. Experience in managing multiple stores or Country Retail Management is essential
A working style that balances empathy, emotional intelligence and strategic thinking
Customer service skills and a passion for our customers come second nature to you
Exceptional team player with proven ability to lead through influence and support
Expertise in coaching and feedback, helping you to generate a development culture
Be the connecting link between departments and shape the country focus around retail output
Prioritize and remain calm in the face of the storm
Fluent spoken and written English is essential
